Recent changes to the Forest and Range Practices Act introduced the Forest Operations Map (FOM). FOMs are publicly available maps showing the locations of proposed roads and cutblocks within BC. They are part of the revised cutting permit approval process and are open for public review and comment. FOMs can be relied upon by the FOM holder for the purpose of cutting permit and road permit applications for three years after the commencement of the public review and commenting period.
The North Island Community Forest invites you to view our proposed operations using the provincial Forest Operations Map online portal or in person.
- Provincial Forest Operations Map online portal: https://fom.nrs.gov.bc.ca/public/projects
- Contact manager@nicf.ca to arrange a time to view the FOM
Feedback can be submitted through the FOM web portal, via email at manager@nicf.ca or mailed to PO Box 694, Port McNeill, BC, V0N 2R0.
The review and comment period is open for 30 days for each FOM.
